About
Hey there!
I’m Xenia, a Birth&Postpartum Doula, Hypnobirthing Practitioner, Social Worker, Early Childhood Educator, Reiki healer and Mum.
I have always worked with kids and becoming a mum was a dream very dear to my heart. Since I worked with children from a young age I thought I’d had it sorted and didn’t have to worry. So, like many expecting mums, I focused all my energy in preparing for birth: resting, eating healthy, going to pre natal classes, Hypnobirth… you name it, I did it!
But I completely ignored the need to prepare for postpartum. So when I had my baby, I was not ready at all for the transformation I was going to endure.
I wished someone had told me that when a baby is born so is a mother.
I wish I had known that the mother has the same needs as the baby. I would have prepared myself more and given more attention to this stage of my life and allowing more time for my recovery.
That is when I became determined to support mothers in their transition so they could have a peaceful postpartum and a smooth transition to the journey of becoming a mother.
Motherhood is not supposed to feel this way, lonely and brutal, like you are left alone to deal with your baby, your recovery, your daily life and to bounce back” to normal” as quick as possible.
The thing is, we will never go back to normal, because with our baby, a new us has been born as well.
So I became a postpartum doula, with the vision and dream that every mum would be happy and supported, loved by her community so instead of becoming depleted, she can become a whole and stronger version of herself during this rite of passage.

My approach
My mission is to end loneliness in motherhood, supporting mothers in this journey and advocating for a peaceful postpartum.
In order for mothers to have a peaceful postpartum we must return to the feminine ways and decolonise postpartum
Through my work I want to reclaim the sacred role of the mother, that has long been forgotten.
With colonisation the world changed from matrilineal societies to patriarchal ways of living, were achieving, doing and productivity has been rewarded.
Mothers lost their support nets, sacred roles, intergenerational support and intuitive wisdom and were taught to mother from a masculine point of view.
To return to the feminine ways and decolonise postpartum (and motherhood) means to:
Bring back the tribe of wise women around the mother
Include rituals and ceremonies around postpartum
Connect with the slow rhythm of nature: respecting the rhythm of your body allowing it to rest and rejuvenate without rush. There are periods of productivity and periods of rest, postpartum requires rest first and foremost.
Mother from your feminine energy
Remember our ancestral wisdom
Our intergenerational connection goes back seven generations, as well as for the future generations. Our actions and feelings affect seven generations in the past and in the times to come.
Understand he Mother-baby dyad
The Mother’s and baby’s energy field are connected, and they are one dyad only in sacred synergy. One cannot exist without the others, the baby’s needs are the mother’s needs.
Honour the first 1,000 days: of life are key to lifelong health and wellbeing. I want to stress the importance of this for any mommas, so you do NOT rush yourselves. Postpartum is for life, I am here to support you with your needs as a mother for as long as you need to. Not limited to 6 weeks, thinking this period is over. The forth trimester is the most vulnerable and support is highly encouraged, however this journey is lifelong, it is a big transition and there is no timing in this.

Why Blue Luna?
“I have choosen the moon as symbol of the sacred sisterhood between women, the intuition, and the divine aspects of the sacred feminine.
The Blue Moon has been linked with the growth of knowledge and wisdom within the phases of a woman's life, like the maiden who is becoming a mother.
Luna is to honour my Spanish heritage and ancestors.”
